Ladies Auxiliary

The St. Johnsburg Ladies Auxiliary is a very active and hard working organization.  We were organized on October 23, 1953, to assist our brother firemen in every way possible, and to be of such service to our community to bring pride and respect to our St. Johnsburg Fire Company.

The Auxiliary has supported the firemen’s many fund-raising activities helping on their chowder sales, chicken barbeques and dances.  At present, we handle all catering for wedding receptions and banquets held in our ballroom and also serve refreshments at Sunday night bingo.

Throughout our over 55 years of service, our many fund-raising activities included field day French fry and roast beef stands, cookbook, Tupperware, candle, candy and baked good sales.  We held turkey parties, raffles and craft shows.  For many years, we sponsored a baton twirling group and the fire company’s Blue Sabre drum corp color guard.  In 1970 we moved into our present firehall and were able to equip and pay for the kitchen.  Our monies also helped pay for fire trucks, the Jaws of Life rescue tools, ScottAir packs, a computer and a new copy machine.

The St. Johnsburg Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary pledges their continual help and support, in every way possible, to our St. Johnsburg Fire Company.
